This villa was originally constructed as a private tea residence for Mr. Goichi Uno, the legendary proprietor of "Sakau"—once celebrated as Osaka’s premier culinary establishment—and a master of the Enshu school of tea.

The architecture reflects a sophisticated blend of Japanese and Western styles favored by the cultural elite of the era.
